Craig is a senior chartered civil and structural engineer with over 12 years of industry and consulting engineering experience ranging from site engineering to experience in the inspection and condition assessment of civil structures, as well as having in depth technical knowledge in steel and reinforced concrete design. Craig is very practical, exceptional at communication and comfortable solving challenging problems, which often results in cost and time savings for projects. He is also an active member of the committee for the development of AS5100 and he is able to offer superior knowledge of the code requirements and ways to navigate it.
A significant highlight in Craig’s recent experience has been his successful delivery of the 1600 m long, 36 span Bridge over Clarence River at Harwood. Craig was the lead bridge designer responsible for the team delivering the design and documentation of all components of the bridge. Challenges he overcame involved designing very high slender columns, resisting large marine vessel collision forces and delivering robust bridge solutions that integrated well into the environmentally sensitive surroundings. Craig also continued through the entire construction phase as a fulltime engineer on site. He provided the contractor with creative solutions to reinforcement congestion, money saving design refinements, concrete defect repair methods, temporary works designs and construction methodology for the bridge.
